Metro CDMX Service Disruption on March 17

Train service at the Balderas and Salto del Agua stations of Line 1 of the Mexico City Metro is suspended this Monday, March 17. As a result, a provisional service is being offered from Pantitlán to Isabel la Católica in both directions. The Collective Transport Service (STC) has reported on this interruption and announced that RTP buses will be available to assist in the transfer of users from the 'Pink Line'.

Users of Line 1 have expressed their confusion due to the lack of train movement towards Observatorio on a holiday. Wait times have extended to more than 15 minutes for the arrival of a train. Additionally, Line 2 is also experiencing delays towards Cuatro Caminos, with personnel working to fully resume operations.

The schedule for the Mexico City Metro this holiday Monday is from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM, and the 'Your Bike Travels on the Metro' program will be in effect. Metrobús will operate on a special schedule from 5:00 AM to 12:00 AM on its 7 lines, with specific circuits that also have designated schedules. Some passengers have expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of information about the situation on social media.

The service of RTP buses has been extended to Isabel La Católica station to assist with the mobility of users affected by this suspension. Meanwhile, the authorities continue to work to fully restore service on both lines of the Metro.
